Fundraiser for 2010 Cincinnati-Oxford International Film Festival, Sunday, November 8, 2009: “You'll Laugh, You'll Cry, You'll B-Screaming!”

This festive celebration of the B-movie genre includes the premiere of two locally produced films and the newest cult smash hit, Tommy Wiseau's “The Room”, which has been selling out nationally/internationally and lovingly dubbed the Citizen Kane of bad movies.

Thank you to our presenting sponsor: CTI Restaurants Inc!  More special discounts coming soon!

The evening’s line-up includes:

  • “Kiss of the Vampire” (aka “Immortally Yours”)—Locally produced in 2006, this is the Cincinnati Premiere!
  • “Zombie Cult Massacre”—Locally directed and produced by Jeff Dunn
  • “The Room”—Cincinnati Premiere!

The festivities start at 6pm with free popcorn all night long & cash bar.

Tickets are $25 at the door—$20 if you are a SOFA Premiere or Enjoy the Arts Member or student with ID

Save an additional $5 off by purchasing tickets the night of SOFA's Halloween Mixer on October 20 and at select events TBD.

Promises to be a fun and campy cap off to Halloween for B-movie mavens, film enthusiasts and the public in general!

The OIFF was established in 2006 in conjunction with the Miami University student filmmaker group, Miami Association of Filmmakers and Independent Actors (aka, M.A.F.I.A.) It has grown from a three day film festival at Miami University to a week long event in the historic Esquire Theatre in Cincinnati, Ohio. The 2009 event had over 600 submissions and featured over 100 films with panels and workshops. A strategic partnership has given screening filmmakers the opportunity to talk with distributors on a non-exclusive contract basis. This unique bonus for filmmakers in the OIFF made it one of MovieMaker Magazine’s “Top 25 Film Festivals Worth The Entry Fee”.
